If there is one park in Kirkland all mothers with toddlers should know about it is the Tot Lot Park, also fondly referred to as “Turtle Park” (for the large cement turtle).   This quiet little spot in the Norkirk neighborhood is a great starter park for the youngest of children.  The park offers a unique variety of play equipment including swings, toddler bucket swings, bouncers, sand pit with excavator, and a play structure designed for children under 5 years old.  The perimeter is fenced; bring a picnic lunch and enjoy a worry free day of fun.

This park also features community garden pea patch plots. If you enjoy growing things but lack the space to do so, consider renting a plot where you can work the soil and have fun while producing something to show for your efforts!
